I’m going to start the week off with a simple tip.
Don’t forget the small things.
Sometimes, it’s the small things that make the biggest difference. I like to think of it this way. Every time I do something small that makes my wife happy, I get “points”. As the points add up, so does her happiness. These small things are things that you don’t even need to talk about really. It’s not like, she gives you a honey-do-list, and completing that list will make her happy, that’s a tip for another day. It’s things like when she’s been go go go for the whole weekend and she’s getting low on fuel for work Monday morning. She gets up a little earlier for work to stop at the gas station, turns the key and the gas gauge needle rises right to full. POINTS. Wow. So simple, but you just made her day. Now she won’t necessarily thank you for that, and she didn’t ask you to do it, but she noticed and it definitely made her happy. These are the small simple things that can show her you care.
Some other ideas:
- Vacuum the house
- Do the dishes
- Tidy the house
- Clean the stove
- Detail the car
- Write her a card, just because
- Fill her washer fluid
There is a lot of cleaning on that list, my wife likes things clean. Make your own list tailored to what you know your wife will appreciate. And try to do something off that list once a day this week. Don’t talk to her about it, or ask if she needs anything done. Just do things for her, get some points flowing, and watch how her happiness flows as well.
